Rview: Coming Soon! (again...)
So you may have guessed, our reviews and news updates have been a little thin on the ground of late, despite the usual big release games and the rounds of big budget blockbusters hitting our screens this summer. Hectic work schedules & Masters degree dissertations have largely been responsible, but all that will soon change (certainly when said dissertation is due in september!).
Fear not,...

Due Date ***
Due Date *** Guest review by Nat!
Expectant father Peter Highman (Robert Downey Jr.) is heading home from Atlanta to LA for the birth of his first child. Unfortunately a run-in with fellow flyer Ethan Tremblay (Zach Galifianakis) lands them both on the no-fly list. And, in Peter’s case, with no luggage, wallet or means to get home. That is until Ethan rents a car and offers him a...

The Wall Street Journal suggests that Spyglass Entertainment are looking to secure a stake in the debt ridden studio. This news should also delight fans of MGM’s upcoming big screen adaptation of The Hobbit, another project that along...

The Wolfman * *
Directed by Joe Johnston Starring Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Hugo Weaving and Emily Blunt Cert: 15
On paper it sounds great. Brooding Benicio Del Toro in the lead, the charming Emily Blunt as the love interest and then the legendary Anthony Hopkins in a supporting role. It’s marketed as a dark and menacing re-make of the 1941 original, so for a film that relies heavily on special...

News Corp. to buy MGM?
With production on the next Bond film shelved until the end of this year, the MGM sale crisis rumbles on. News Corp are the latest big dogs to enter the running, rumoured to buy the ailing production company & take on their massive debt. Avatar (finally) sinks Titanic!!
Yes, we know it’s an awful pun but it’s official.. according to MSN, Avatar has finally overtaken Titanic as the Most Successful Film Ever. Who knows if it’ll out-shine...
McAvoy "denies" rumours of Ian Fleming biopic
Scottish hottie James McAvoy (Chronicles of Narnia, Wanted) has denied any involvement with a potential big screen biopic of the life of James Bond creator, Ian Fleming. It’s a shame, but hopefully we...
